How do I set up an email account on my BlackBerry 6 or 7?

If you set up your email using the BlackBerry Email Setup Wizard you may be able to send but not receive emails. In order to receive emails you must change the SSL Security setting.

  1. Login to the BlackBerry website of your network provider using your BlackBerry username and password. 
    • Delete your old email account using the bin icon on the right of the screen
    • Select Add New
    • Type your new email address
    • Type the password
    • Press Next
    • You'll now see a message telling you that the system is processing: please wait
    • The message 'Invalid email address or password' will appear next - click OK
    • Select the option I will provide the settings
    • Select POP/IMAP
    • Type in your real email address and password
    • Make sure that the Email Server is pop.outlook.com.
    • In the Username box, type in your full email address
    • Press Next
    • You'll now see a message telling you that the system is processing: please wait
    • Press OK

    And that's it. Your email will start to appear on your BlackBerry within 5-30 minutes.
